Woodview Elementary School Replacement and Renovations

As part of the 2017 Bond Program, Spring Branch Independent School District (Spring Branch ISD) needed to replace the aging Woodview Elementary School. Since 1958, Woodview Elementary School has been serving families with pride and a great sense of community. Many of the current students are second and third generation Woodview students. While the aging facility has had few enhancements over the years, the original buildings are long past their prime. Spring Branch ISD reached out to our team to help.

Through the creation of a Project Advisory Team (PAT), we heavily engaged with the community as part of the redevelopment of this campus. Our plan for the school included keeping and renovating the existing gymnasium and repurposing the library building since both structures were more recent. The new main building connects all functions together under one roof. The library serves as the heart of the campus surrounded by flexible learning areas within the academic spaces, an energetic cafeteria and gymnasium, and secure connections to an outdoor learning area.

Woodview is located within a well-established neighborhood that has a major thoroughfare to one side. We updated the campus layout to provide vehicle stacking on site, preserve existing mature trees, and keep the outdoor student areas visually protected from the public.

The renewed Woodview Elementary School honors its long tradition of educating the community while creating a safe, modern learning space for generations to come.
