Town of Las Vegas Veterans Park Revitalization
Across from the town¡¯s golf course and high school, Veterans Park sits in the heart of the community and has long served as a central gathering space for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The park not only hosts ceremonies and commemorations but also stands as a place for reflection and connection among veterans and residents. The Town of Las Vegas set out to reinvigorate this important space and engaged our team to develop a new master plan for the site.
We provided landscape architecture and civil, structural, and electrical engineering design services along with master plan coordination. As part of the process, we worked closely with local parties to secure funding and shape the design. Once the request for funding for final design and construction is approved by the legislator, we will oversee bidding and manage construction for each element of the park¡¯s transformation.
The master plan calls for an array of upgraded amenities including monuments honoring service and sacrifice, ramps and sidewalks, lighting and electrical improvements for safety and accessibility, and a new amphitheater with stage enhancements and a shade structure designed for community events. Additional features include war memorial stations along a commemorative walkway, a monument recognizing all service branches, and refreshed landscaping with trees, irrigation, and a decorative safety fence.
The Town¡¯s dedication to the park will help it continue to be a place of pride for generations to come.
