Designed by Bora Architects, Microsoft Building 83 pushes the standard for innovation and provides some of the best brains in the business with the workspace they need to not only succeed¡ªbut thrive.
Our team would step in to supply acoustical and lighting design services for the facility. At almost 300,000 square feet and housing over 1000 occupants, we were happy to help with the challenge. Our work would include the lobby and reception area, staff workspaces, mixed-use meeting rooms, atrium, and conference rooms. The game plan? Simple. To enhance the experience for anyone who enters the building.
Building 83¡¯s HVAC system includes a raised floor system at all work areas. With an espresso vendor on the ground level of the lively atrium space, noise played a factor¡ªwhich meant we really had to manage the amount of sound that would reach the office workspaces.
Microsoft Building 83 set a new standard of design that continues to help with the collaborative process for staff in Redmond, Washington.
