Bringing more than a decade of experience to her work, Lori leads technical efforts associated with flood risk analysis projects, primarily related to FEMA flood studies. This often involves creating new hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for complex riverine systems and levee studies across the US. She focuses on conducting levee related studies, 2D riverine system modeling, and watershed analysis.
Passionate about community resilience, Lori helps municipalities understand and mitigate flood risks through data-driven solutions. Clearly communicating the highly technical aspects of her work and making them understandable to decision-makers helps improve project outcomes. Lori also enjoys mentoring junior engineers, emphasizing the broader impact of their work on federal policy and local development.
Away from her flood risk analysis work, Lori enjoys traveling, outdoor adventures, and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
