Dedicated to natural systems design for watersheds and rivers, Jon prioritizes nature-based solutions over traditional hard approaches to solving complex watershed-scale issues. He focuses on practical solutions that benefit both nearby communities and the natural environment.
Jon has provided engineering services for watershed management studies, riverine flood studies, bank stabilization design, and river and riparian restoration assessments, designs, and implementation. This includes addressing sediment issues, erosion risk, and flooding of critical assets and restoring and protecting open channels. He’s also conducted sediment source and geomorphic data collection and assessment, sediment transport modeling, river restoration design, bid support, and construction management and observation.
When he isn’t busy developing nature-based solutions for watersheds and rivers, Jon enjoys playing with his daughter, going hiking and creeking, gardening, attending concerts and comedy shows, and completing projects around the house.
