Karl has over three decades of experience in roadway and rail design. Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide variety of transportation projects, ranging from residential streets and limited-access highways to drainage design and stormwater treatment and permitting.
Regardless of the project’s size, Karl believes there’s always a common thread—infrastructure is vital for everyone. Whether they’re walking, biking, or driving, every user must be considered in each project, and his work has a direct impact on their experience. Passionate about using technology to create his designs, he’s also a 14 CFR Part 107 certified drone pilot and uses photogrammetry to create accurate 3D models.
Away from his transportation project work, Karl is an avid golfer, disc golfer, and drone flyer. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
