With more than two decades of experience, James focuses on clash detection—a building construction modeling process that identifies conflicts between building components before construction begins—and design coordination. Working closely with lead engineers, he plays a pivotal role in developing and managing digital and building information modeling (BIM) workflows and standards.
James collaborates with clients and contractors to implement project-specific digital frameworks for a seamless transition from design through to facility management. One of his most memorable projects? Working on Queens Wharf in Brisbane. At the time it was the largest construction project in the southern hemisphere. Delivering a LOD 500 model (the final, as-built model), for such a complex and iconic development was both a challenge and a highlight of his career.
Away from leading his team, James enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it's traveling with family and friends or embarking on snowboarding adventures abroad. He’s also an avid follower of rugby league and cricket.
