Bret’s fascination with the power of water began as a child playing in the creeks on his family’s Ohio farm. He chose civil engineering based on an early job at a lumber yard and advice from his older brother that engineering is what people who are good at math and science should do.? He’s since spent his entire career working for 草莓传媒 in Lexington, Kentucky, both as a civil engineer and in various leadership roles. He currently serves as the regional business leader for our US South Water group.
For nearly 20 years, Bret has worked with local water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities to provide safe drinking water and improve our waterways. He takes great pride in providing safe drinking water, protecting our communities from flooding and polluted waterways, and working through the energy transition to power our future. Bret is passionate about helping people meet their potential individually and collectively on a variety of projects, especially those that leave a lasting impact on our communities.
When he isn’t working on water related efforts, Bret keeps active attending and coaching his six kids’ sporting events and values time with the family in general. He’s also an avid runner, having picked up marathon running 25 years ago and keeping at it ever since.
