With nearly three decades of structural design experience, Tom has worked on various aspects of structural bridge design, rating, rehabilitation, inspection, and construction administration for highway and railroad infrastructure throughout New England. His structural design work is complemented by his experience analyzing and assessing structures for scour and hydraulic considerations.
Tom’s approach to bridge improvements includes considering impacts on traffic, the environment and streams, as well as adjacent properties. With a thorough understanding of the design and regulatory process, he strives to offer solutions that are cost-effective and quick to construct while reducing impacts on resources.
Away from his structural bridge design work, Tom enjoys sailing, reading, tinkering around the house, Nordic skiing, and hiking with his family and dogs.
