Lucas has spent more than a decade working on various archaeological assessments throughout Ontario. These assessments have included municipal, provincial, and federal projects as well as private enterprise efforts in such sectors as renewable energy, power transmission, nuclear energy, transportation, housing development, and aggregate projects. Throughout these projects he has positively engaged and liaised with Aboriginal groups and community members.
A project archaeologist with an applied research licence, Lucas specializes in the archaeology of Aboriginal and Euro-Canadian groups in Ontario. He’s currently working on a remote survey project outside Marathon, Ontario, where his experience traversing the wilderness comes in handy. As a licensed drone pilot, he supplements his navigation skills by getting “eyes” on hard-to-reach places.
Away from the world of archaeology, Lucas enjoys playing soccer, golfing, and fishing. His Saturday mornings are usually booked up watching the English Premier League--he is not to be disturbed.
