Lila’s passion for making our planet a better place dates back to her days serving as a member of her elementary school’s environmental club. She transformed her love of learning into an engineering career focused on water resources.
From pipes and treatment plants to storms and natural water sources, Lila supports community access to safe, reliable water and helps protect homes from flooding. Her experience includes hydraulic modeling and design of water and stormwater systems. She enjoys collaborating with teams and bringing people together to deliver complex projects like the Evanston Raw Water Intake Replacement. Working with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, she helped design solutions to supply water for half a million people in Illinois.
On the weekend, you’ll find Lila out hiking, biking, running, or reading. One of her favorite ways to unwind is spending time outdoors and interacting with the natural world.
