With nearly a decade of experience in restoration ecology, Mitchell has developed a passion for stream and wetland restoration projects. His love for the outdoors started in childhood, when his love of fishing grew into a fascination of how the feeding patterns and behavior of fish affect streams.?
Today, Mitchell is a restoration ecologist working on a range of creek restoration and wetland mitigation projects. He handles projects from early project development to long-term management. He believes his work helps improve environmental quality and makes the world a better place for everyone. One project he is excited about involves restoring a stream that will eventually become the site of a community park where people can enjoy nature in their own neighborhood.
Away from his work on wetland restoration projects, you’ll find Mitchell fly fishing and observing the ecology of local lakes and rivers—still learning from the water, just like he did as a kid.
