Creighton is an osteologist with more than a decade of experience in the field of archeology involving bones. She has completed archaeological excavations on four continents and assisted with repatriation efforts in southwestern Ontario.
With a belief that any analysis of human remains must first start from a place of respect for both the deceased and descendants, Creighton works closely with Indigenous Nations to see that remains are treated respectfully at all stages. She provides onsite assistance during archaeological excavations, identifying and differentiating between human and non-human osteological materials. Additionally, Creighton is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Her academic research focuses on the analysis of children and adolescents, incorporating morphological and biochemical analyses.
Away from her archeological, teaching, and research work, Creighton enjoys camping, canoeing, and quilting.
